Description

Delicious rice paper dumplings filled with succulent shrimp, a delightful twist on traditional har gow.


Ingredients

  • 1 package rice paper wrappers
  • 1 pound shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1/2 cup water chestnuts, chopped
  • 2 tablespoons green onions, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 1 teaspoon cornstarch
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon white pepper


Instructions

  1. Soak rice paper wrappers in warm water until pliable.
  2. In a bowl, mix shrimp, water chestnuts, green onions, soy sauce, sesame oil, cornstarch, salt, and white pepper.
  3. Place a spoonful of shrimp mixture onto each wrapper and fold into a dumpling shape.
  4. Steam dumplings for 10-12 minutes until cooked through.
  5. Serve with soy sauce or your preferred dipping sauce.

Notes

  • Make sure the rice paper is not too soft when filling.
