Description
This decadent Salted Caramel Chocolate Tart features a rich chocolate filling, layered with creamy salted caramel, and is encased in a buttery tart crust. Perfect for special occasions!

- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, chilled and cubed
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1 large egg yolk
- 2 tbsp ice water
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/4 cup corn syrup
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/2 tsp sea salt
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a mixing bowl, combine flour, sugar, and salt. Cut in butter until mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
- Add egg yolk and ice water, mixing until dough forms. Press into a tart pan.
- Bake for 20 minutes or until golden brown. Let cool.
- In a saucepan, combine brown sugar, corn syrup, and butter. Cook over medium heat until smooth. Stir in heavy cream, chocolate chips, vanilla, and sea salt until melted and combined.
- Pour the chocolate filling over the cooled tart shell.
- Refrigerate for at least 2 hours to set.
Notes
- Let the tart sit at room temperature for 10 minutes before slicing for easier serving.
- Top with additional sea salt for extra flavor.
