Delicious Salvadoran stuffed corn tortillas filled with flavorful ingredients and served with a refreshing cabbage slaw.
Ingredients

- 2 cups masa harina
- 1 1/2 cups water
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup cooked and shredded chicken
- 1/2 cup refried beans
- 1 cup finely chopped cabbage
- 1/4 cup diced tomatoes
- 1/4 cup diced onions
- 1 tablespoon lime juice
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- In a bowl, combine the masa harina, water, and salt until a dough forms.
- Divide the dough into small balls and flatten each ball into a tortilla.
- Heat a skillet over medium heat and cook each tortilla for about 1-2 minutes on each side.
- In a separate bowl, mix the chicken, refried beans, and season with salt and pepper.
- Place some of the filling in the center of each tortilla and fold them over.
- In another bowl, combine cabbage, tomatoes, onions, lime juice, and mix well.
- Serve the stuffed tortillas with the cabbage slaw on the side.
Notes
- For a vegetarian option, substitute chicken with additional refried beans or sautéed vegetables.
- Adjust the lime juice and seasoning to taste for the slaw.
- These tortillas can also be served with salsa for extra flavor.
