Description

A delicious and easy recipe for sardine patties bound with egg yolk, perfect for a quick meal or snack.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cans sardines in olive oil
  • 2 egg yolks
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 chopped onion
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon parsley, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper
  • 1/4 cup oil for frying


Instructions

  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine sardines, egg yolks, breadcrumbs, onion, mustard, lemon juice, parsley, salt, and pepper.
  2. Mix until well combined.
  3. Shape the mixture into patties.
  4. Heat oil in a skillet over medium heat.
  5. Fry the patties until golden brown on both sides, about 3-4 minutes per side.
  6. Remove from skillet and drain on paper towels.
  7. Serve warm.

Notes

  • Can substitute fresh herbs for parsley if desired.
  • Make sure to drain sardines well before mixing.
  • These patties can be frozen before frying for easy meals.
