Description

Ingredients

  • 1 sheet puff pastry, thawed
  • 2 cups mushrooms, chopped
  • 1 cup Gruyère cheese, shredded
  • 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic, minced
  • 1/2 teaspoon thyme, dried
  • Salt and pepper to taste


Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add garlic and mushrooms, cooking until mushrooms are soft.
  3. Stir in thyme, salt, and pepper. Remove from heat and let cool.
  4. Roll out puff pastry on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  5. Place the cooled mushroom mixture down the center of the pastry. Top with Gruyère cheese.
  6. Cut slits on each side of the pastry and fold over the filling to create a braid.
  7. Brush the top with the beaten egg.
  8. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until golden brown.
