Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
- In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add garlic and mushrooms, cooking until mushrooms are soft.
- Stir in thyme, salt, and pepper. Remove from heat and let cool.
- Roll out puff pastry on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Place the cooled mushroom mixture down the center of the pastry. Top with Gruyère cheese.
- Cut slits on each side of the pastry and fold over the filling to create a braid.
- Brush the top with the beaten egg.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes or until golden brown.
