Description

Deliciously seasoned meatloaf filled with a savory mushroom mixture, shaped into a festive wreath perfect for gatherings.


Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1/2 pound ground pork
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 2 cups mushrooms, chopped
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup parsley, chopped
  • 1 cup shredded cheese
  • 1/4 cup ketchup


Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a skillet, sauté onions and garlic until translucent, then add mushrooms and cook until tender.
  3. In a large bowl, combine ground beef, ground pork, breadcrumbs, egg, salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning.
  4. Add the mushroom mixture and parsley to the meat mixture and mix until well combined.
  5. Transfer the mixture to a baking sheet and shape it into a wreath.
  6. Spread ketchup over the top of the meatloaf wreath.
  7. Bake for about 1 hour or until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (70°C).
  8. Let rest for 10 minutes before slicing and serving.

Notes

  • For a spicier version, add red pepper flakes to the meat mixture.
  • This meatloaf can also be made ahead and reheated for serving.
