Description

A delicious blend of savory Parmesan waffles filled with a creamy basil ricotta mousse, perfect for a unique sandwich experience.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup milk
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/4 cup melted butter
  • 1 cup ricotta cheese
  • 1/4 cup fresh basil, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper


Instructions

  1. In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt.
  2. In another bowl, mix milk, eggs, and melted butter.
  3. Combine the wet and dry ingredients, then fold in Parmesan cheese.
  4. Preheat the waffle maker and pour the batter into it, cooking until golden brown.
  5. In a separate bowl, mix ricotta cheese, chopped basil, lemon juice, and black pepper.
  6. Serve the waffles by spreading the basil ricotta mousse in between two waffles.

Notes

  • Feel free to add additional herbs to the ricotta mousse for extra flavor.
  • These waffles can be made in advance and reheated for convenience.
