Description

Delicious spicy meatballs served in a rich cream sauce, perfect for a keto diet.


Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup beef broth
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning


Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, Parmesan cheese, egg, garlic, onion powder, red pepper flakes, salt, and black pepper. Mix until well combined.
  3. Form the mixture into meatballs, about 1 inch in diameter.
  4. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the meatballs and brown on all sides, about 5 minutes.
  5. Transfer the browned meatballs to a baking dish and bake in the oven for 15-20 minutes until cooked through.
  6. While the meatballs are baking, prepare the sauce. In the same skillet, add heavy cream, beef broth, and Italian seasoning. Stir and simmer over low heat until slightly thickened.
  7. Once the meatballs are done, add them to the sauce and let simmer for an additional 5 minutes.
  8. Serve hot and enjoy!

Notes

  • These meatballs can be made ahead of time and stored in the refrigerator.
  • For a spicier kick, increase the amount of red pepper flakes.
