Description

A creamy and rich Alfredo sauce made with sun-dried tomatoes for an extra burst of flavor.


Ingredients

  • 8 ounces fettuccine pasta
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 cup sun-dried tomatoes, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • salt to taste
  • pepper to taste
  • fresh basil for garnish


Instructions

  1. Cook the fettuccine pasta according to package instructions; drain and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté until fragrant.
  3. Pour in the heavy cream and bring to a simmer.
  4. Stir in the Parmesan cheese until melted and the sauce is smooth.
  5. Add the chopped sun-dried tomatoes and Italian seasoning; mix well.
  6. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  7. Toss in the cooked fettuccine until well coated with the sauce.
  8. Serve immediately, garnished with fresh basil.

Notes

  • For a lighter version, substitute half-and-half for heavy cream.
  • Feel free to add cooked chicken or shrimp for added protein.
