Description

A deliciously sweet and spicy condiment.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 2 tablespoons minced garlic
  • 2 tablespoons red chili flakes
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt


Instructions

  1. Combine sugar, vinegar, and soy sauce in a saucepan over medium heat.
  2. In a small bowl, mix cornstarch with water until dissolved.
  3. Once the sugar mixture is boiling, stir in the cornstarch mixture.
  4. Add minced garlic, red chili flakes, and salt.
  5. Stir continuously until thickened.
  6. Remove from heat and let cool before serving.
