Description

A delicious and fragrant Thai stir-fry dish featuring tender beef and aromatic basil.


Ingredients

  • 1 pound beef sirloin, sliced thinly
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 shallots, sliced
  • 1-2 Thai bird chilies, sliced
  • 1 cup fresh Thai basil leaves
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
  • 1 tablespoon fish sauce
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 1 lime, juiced
  • 1 cup jasmine rice, cooked


Instructions

  1. Heat oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  2. Add garlic and shallots, stir-frying until fragrant.
  3. Add sliced beef and cook until browned.
  4. Stir in chilies, soy sauce, oyster sauce, fish sauce, and sugar.
  5. Cook until beef is coated and cooked through.
  6. Add lime juice and basil, stirring until basil wilts.
  7. Serve over jasmine rice.

Notes

  • For extra spice, add more chilies.
  • Make sure to use fresh basil for the best flavor.
  • Can substitute chicken or tofu for beef.
