- 1 pound beef sirloin, sliced thinly
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 shallots, sliced
- 1-2 Thai bird chilies, sliced
- 1 cup fresh Thai basil leaves
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
- 1 tablespoon fish sauce
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 1 lime, juiced
- 1 cup jasmine rice, cooked
Instructions
- Heat oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
- Add garlic and shallots, stir-frying until fragrant.
- Add sliced beef and cook until browned.
- Stir in chilies, soy sauce, oyster sauce, fish sauce, and sugar.
- Cook until beef is coated and cooked through.
- Add lime juice and basil, stirring until basil wilts.
- Serve over jasmine rice.
Notes
- For extra spice, add more chilies.
- Make sure to use fresh basil for the best flavor.
- Can substitute chicken or tofu for beef.
