Description

A rich and crispy dish made from turkey tails, cooked to perfection.


Ingredients

  • 4 turkey tails turkey tails
  • 2 tablespoons salt
  • 1 tablespoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon onion powder
  • 1 cup duck fat or lard


Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 250°F (120°C).
  2. Rub the turkey tails with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder.
  3. Place the seasoned turkey tails in a baking dish.
  4. Pour duck fat or lard over the turkey tails until they are completely submerged.
  5. Cover the dish tightly with foil and bake for 4-5 hours, until the meat is tender.
  6. Remove from the oven and let cool.
  7. Once cool, refrigerate to allow the fat to solidify.
  8. To serve, slice and crisp the turkey tails in a hot skillet.
