- 4 turkey tails turkey tails
- 2 tablespoons salt
- 1 tablespoon black pepper
- 1 tablespoon garlic powder
- 1 tablespoon onion powder
- 1 cup duck fat or lard
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 250°F (120°C).
- Rub the turkey tails with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder.
- Place the seasoned turkey tails in a baking dish.
- Pour duck fat or lard over the turkey tails until they are completely submerged.
- Cover the dish tightly with foil and bake for 4-5 hours, until the meat is tender.
- Remove from the oven and let cool.
- Once cool, refrigerate to allow the fat to solidify.
- To serve, slice and crisp the turkey tails in a hot skillet.
