Description

A creamy and flavorful panna cotta infused with the tastes of fresh tomatoes, perfect for a unique dessert experience.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups tomato puree
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 tablespoon gelatin
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Fresh basil leaves for garnish


Instructions

  1. In a saucepan, combine the tomato puree, sugar, salt, and pepper. Heat gently until the sugar dissolves.
  2. In a separate bowl, sprinkle the gelatin over 1/4 cup cold water and let it bloom for 5 minutes.
  3. Remove the tomato mixture from heat and stir in the bloomed gelatin until dissolved.
  4. Pour the mixture into a bowl and let it cool slightly, then whisk in the heavy cream and olive oil.
  5. Transfer to serving cups and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, or until set.
  6. Serve chilled, garnished with fresh basil leaves.

Notes

  • Make sure the gelatin is fully dissolved for a smooth texture.
  • For a sweeter dessert, adjust the sugar according to taste.
  • This panna cotta can be made a day ahead and stored in the refrigerator.
