Description

Delicious vegan bars combining matcha and caramel flavors with a crunchy base, perfect for a sweet treat.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup almond flour
  • 1/4 cup maple syrup
  • 1/4 cup coconut oil
  • 2 tablespoons matcha powder
  • 1/2 cup medjool dates, pitted
  • 1/4 cup peanut butter
  • 1/4 cup coconut milk
  • 1/4 teaspoon sea salt
  • 1/2 cup dark chocolate, dairy-free


Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a bowl, mix almond flour, maple syrup, and melted coconut oil until a dough forms.
  3. Press the dough into the bottom of a lined baking pan and bake for 10-12 minutes.
  4. Blend medjool dates, peanut butter, coconut milk, sea salt, and matcha powder until smooth to make the caramel layer.
  5. Spread the matcha caramel over the baked base and freeze for 30 minutes.
  6. Melt the dark chocolate and pour over the caramel layer.
  7. Chill until set, then slice into bars.

Notes

  • Store in the refrigerator for up to a week.
  • For a nuttier flavor, add chopped nuts to the base.
