Description

A delicious and colorful bread made with beets and spinach, perfect for any meal.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup cooked and pureed beets
  • 1 cup fresh spinach, chopped
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1 packet instant yeast
  • 1 cup warm water
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil


Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix warm water, sugar, and yeast. Let it sit for 5 minutes.
  2. Add the pureed beets, chopped spinach, olive oil, and salt to the mixture.
  3. Gradually add flour until a dough forms.
  4. Knead the dough for about 10 minutes until smooth.
  5. Let the dough rise in a warm place for 1 hour or until doubled in size.
  6. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  7. Shape the dough into a loaf and place in a greased pan.
  8. Let it rise for another 30 minutes.
  9. Bake for 30-35 minutes or until golden brown.
  10. Allow to cool before slicing.

Notes

  • For a more intense beet flavor, add additional beet puree.
  • This bread can be stored in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
