- 1 package phyllo dough
- 1 cup melted butter
- 2 cups sugar
- 1 cup cocoa powder
- 4 eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 cup powdered sugar for dusting
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Brush a baking dish with some melted butter.
- Layer half of the phyllo dough, brushing each layer with butter, then set aside.
- In a bowl, mix sugar, cocoa powder, eggs, vanilla, and baking powder until smooth.
- Spread the mixture over the phyllo layers.
- Top with the remaining phyllo dough, also brushing each layer with butter.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes until puffed and crinkled.
- Cool and dust with powdered sugar before serving.
Notes
- For extra flavor, try adding nuts to the filling.
- Store leftovers in an airtight container at room temperature.
