Description

A spicy herb sauce originating from Yemen, known for its vibrant flavor and green color.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups fresh coriander
  • 1 cup fresh parsley
  • 3-4 green chili peppers
  • 4 cloves garlic
  • 2 teaspoons ground cumin
  • 1 teaspoon ground cardamom
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ cup olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice


Instructions

  1. In a food processor, combine the fresh coriander, parsley, green chili peppers, garlic, cumin, cardamom, and salt.
  2. Pulse until finely chopped.
  3. With the processor running, slowly drizzle in the olive oil and lemon juice until well combined.
  4. Taste and adjust seasoning if necessary.
  5. Serve immediately or store in an airtight container in the refrigerator.
